MALAGASY TO ENGLISH TRANCRIPTION AND TRANSLATION

This translation is for a documentary.

We have some material which consists of interviews with one subject at a time. In these cases, the question is asked in English, then translated to Malagasy, so we are only looking for translation of the interviewee’s responses. I realize it is a bit different to work with verite material (such as in the link above) and interview material, so I mention both.

Initially we would most likely be looking to have an hour of material translated, and there might be more following that.

Please contact us at careers [at] worldlanguagecommunications [dot] com if you are available.

Also, please register with us here: http://www.worldlanguagecommunications.com/careers

Thank you!

Hundreds of interpreters who worked with British and US troops in Afghanistan are desperately seeking asylum in the countries they helped during the war. Many say they've been threatened by the Taliban for their work with NATO troops. With the UK campaign in Afghanistan now over, Harry Fear reports on the feeling that the British army has quickly forgotten the allies they left behind.

The interpreters who worked alongside American and NATO forces in Afghanistan are among our bravest and most loyal allies. They played an essential role in sourcing intelligence and educating Western troops about the local culture. Now they're in danger of being abandoned.

Taliban radicals are threatening to 'kill like dogs'. 2 former Afghan interpreters who worked for NATO troops. The men have already survived several .

A former Afghan interpreter has told British Forces News he has considered killing himself because he feels deserted by the country he put his life on the line for.

Trident University: While in Baghdad, Iraq CSM Phil Johndrow (Retired) met two Iraqi translators, Afrah and Lina AL Asadi. For years they risked their lives to support American troops as interpreters. With their lives at risk, Mr. Johndrow, Director of Military Relations at Trident University, personally worked to get them both to the United States and on a path to citizenship. This emotional video is the shortened version of their story told by Phil Johndrow.

The Importance of Transcription Services

Transcriptionists have been around from time immemorial. Contrary to popular belief, transcribing a video, a podcast or an interview to text is not as easy as it looks, and requires great skill, talent and patience.  A detailed transcription will include every utterance, interjection, and side comments in the video or podcast. At times, the transcriptionist may need to look up an unfamiliar word or technical term, and also include time coding in the transcribed text.

For some interesting facts and stats about the transcription industry and the constant need for transcription services, check out the below infographic from Take 1 Transcription

Below graphic is only a partial screenshot of the Take 1 Infographic.
